The traditional folklore in the municipality of Esposende is rich and diverse, either the lyrics, songs and dances, but also the unique dressing.

Although it is not a large municipality, its folklore is influenced either by its littoral geography, as well as by the interior lands, the sea and farm activities. The dressing of the sea, also known as Suit-of-the-"Sargaceiro", can be seen on the groups of Apúlia, while the interior groups use more common Minho dressings, like the ones used by the groups of Vila Chã, Marinhas, Forjães and Palmeira de Faro.

There are a few folk groups in the municipality of Esposende, with long existence, like the "Ronda de Vila Chã", or the unique dancers and dressings like the "Sargaceiros" of Apúlia.

"Esposende a privilege of nature" is a trade mark of the City Council of Esposende.
