Esposende has a great patrimonial and nature resources, revealed in the traditional architecture and in the population uses and traditional work, stage of an intense cultural life, mainly in the populations of Forjães, Apúlia, Fão and Esposende, where theatre, music and traditional spectacles rival with gastronomic events, exhibitions and street events, prepared by local organizations, the Town Council and the Municipal Museum, in Esposende.
To the characteristic of the agriculture and fishing communities of the coast, the agricultural communities of the interior add themselves strong influence of the Brazilian taste of the rich "returned emigrants", that in the first decades of the 20th century built remarkable houses compared in architecture with the beach and vacation houses on the coast.

The Atelier-Museum of the painter Henrique Medina, in Góios - Marinhas, the Cultural Center of Forjães, with its tile panels signed by Jorge Colaço, building that was a Primary School, today rehabilitated for diverse functions, like the local Municipal Library and for the Municipal Children Corner, the Municipal Library Manuel de Boaventura, in Esposende, the Municipal Museum, are some of the places not to lose in a visit to Esposende.
